Beautiful weather and corporative fish greeted 28 anglers at Lake Ray Hubbard on Sunday Feb. 27th. Brett Kilmer flirted with the lake record as he weighed in a 10.93 lunker to anchor his winning 5 fish stringer of 22.77 lbs. Way to go Patches! Unfortunately, the Ray Hubbard lake record still stands at 11.02 lbs.
John Pierce battled boat trouble and the fish to finish 2nd with 5 fish stretching the scale at 21.86 lbs. Bill Johnson finished 3rd, but was within striking distance of first place. Billís 4 fish weighed in at 19.53 lbs. and was anchored by a nice 8.27 pounder. Meanwhile, my tube bait pattern produced a limit weighing 16.67. Mike Adamsí took 5th place with 5 fish at 15.48 and Jon Harshbarger was close behind in 6th place with 15.14.
We had 82 fish weighed in with a combined weight of 241.60 lbs. - a 2.95 per fish average. Adding Ray Hubbard to schedule in February couldnít have worked out any better. Toledo Bend should be just as hot in March!
