COY FRAZIER ON TOP AT TAWAKONI
Coy Frazier bested a field of 31 anglers
at Century’s March 6 tournament held on Tawakoni with a 5-fish limit for 15.06
lbs. Coy’s nice bag was caught using Flukes in water 4 feet or less in a secret
canal. Coy’s day of fishing earned him a nice payday of $381.50 which also
included his half of the heavy boat weight split with “Easy” Ernie Jordan of
$72.50. Nice job Coy!
Second place went to Brett Kilmer with 5 nice bass for 13.11 lbs and a second place check for $228. Brett’s fish were caught using a blade in 18” of water around pad stems.
Tommy Yates nailed down 3rd place with 2 nice fish for 9.03 lbs. Tommy’s fish came on Lake Fork Craw Tubes flipped to brush. Tommy took home $282 which included $145 for Big Bass of the day—a nice 6.07 lb toad!
Fourth place went to my partner of the day, Gary Spencer, with a nice limit for 7.94 lbs. As a few members witnessed, Gary caught his limit in the span of 15 minutes at the end of the day on a Rattle Trap at the ramp. Gary earned $100 for his quick work.
Jon Harshbarger captured a 5th place check for $73 for his 2 nice fish at 7.11 lbs. Jon used a tube and spinner bait in the grass to nab his fish. The final check for 6th place and $56 went to Craig Dowis, who brought 2 fish to the scales for 5.72 lbs. Carey Gajdica was the winner of the “first place out of the money” tackle pack with 3 fish at 5.63 lbs. and Coy Frazier won the free entry drawing.
